Sara-Jayne Slack, MA
About: A self confessed tea-and-book addict, I've always been a 'Jack of all Trades'. My hobbies range from re-enacting, to woodworking and participating within the theatre. My love of literature (or 'lol', as I like to call it), has always been a passion...thus the reason for my postgraduate degree in English. You can usually find me either with friends, at the gym, or working away in front of my laptop here on Inspired Quill. (I also hold the belief that 'to-do' lists breed when you're not looking).
Management Team
Peter Stewart, B.A. (Hons)
About: Reader, writer, gamer, womaniser, brain surgeron[sic], rocket scientist. In actuality, I am naught but the first three of these things. I dabble in some fiction, some non-fiction, play chess as well as video games, talk a lot of pseudo-intellectual tripe, and have a hideously inefficient schedule. I nevertheless always seem to manage to get through enough editing in good time for Inspired Quill!

Internships
Lea Tierney
About: I'm a little older than the other interns as I graduated in 2009 and have been working in retail since. The past two years have been spent figuring out which career path to pursue and at last I settled on Marketing/PR. As soon as I settled on the right career path the opportunity to intern with IQ arose and I just knew I was on to a winner. I am so excited to be working on my author's marketing programme and can't wait to add that novel to my ever growing collection of books!
Sarah Cozens
About: I am a Philosophy student about to graduate from the University of Birmingham. I have always loved getting completely lost in a book and publishing is an industry I would love to work in once I graduate. This internship was the perfect opportunity to gain an insight into what goes on within the publishing world. Throughout my final year I have been writing for the University’s newspaper in the “Comment and Features” section. I am so excited to have the chance to be a part of the IQ team and cannot wait to get stuck in.
Fiona Lorne
About: Working as a photographer gave me the head start I needed to understand the importance of a well-composed, aesthetically pleasing cover. I work alongside our authors and team to create the cover that best fits the book in question, rather than taking the entire process out of the author’s hands. My free time is spent researching horrible plagues and viruses (because why not?), as well as pretending to enjoy living in an oven in the Texas Hill Country
Kat Ravlic
About: I’m an English student, just about to graduate from the University of Leicester. I love to read literature of all genres and time periods. I write prose fiction and hope to have my own work published one day, so I applied to work at IQ in the hope that I could learn more about the industry while gaining hands-on experience. In the future I’d like to do an MA in Creative Writing but right now my short term goal is just to pass my final exam!
Emily Gussin
About: I am currently a Ba(Hons) English student at the University of Leicester. I’ve always loved reading and writing, so the idea of a career that is involved with these things is ideal for me. I love the theatre, dance, films, music and baking. My life long ambition is to have a personal library, even if I can't afford an extra room for it and just have to sleep in the centre!
