    Our History

A few years ago, a blog was created.
The owner of the blog updated it a few times a week with literature news, articles and reviews.
With an Entrepreneurial award and proper business tuition, the owner then decided that the best way to utilise her passion for the written word was to create a Social Enterprise, with the determination to not only publish and promote great literature...but to also aid both new authors and the local community in skills development.
Sara Slack has taken Inspired Quill from a rarely- viewed blog to a registered, viable business in the space of a year and a half...so who knows what the future will bring. The ‘big 6’ had better watch out!

    Mission Statement

Inspired Quill is a unique publishing house focusing on indelible quality in upcoming publications from start to finish. We strive to showcase new writing talent and set a new standard in ecologically friendly, people-oriented publishing by providing a reliable platform for up-and-coming authors. Inspired Quill allows them to both publish their work and hone personal skills such as marketing and web commerce, with the added ability to gain knowledge of the ‘behind-the-scenes’ element of publishing. Inspired Quill also offers a way to achieve otherwise unobtainable work experience in the publishing sector for the next generation of editors and agents.
The future development of Inspired Quill will seek to include both creative and nonfiction workshops to promote writing and literacy in disadvantaged schools and local community centres.
